Yellow Tea (lightly fermented)
Leaves are being lightly fermented, then stacked in little heaps and covered with hemp sacks to get the special effect of Yellow Tea. Leaves are tiny, furry and pin pointed. Drink is pale yellow, fresh and fragrant.
Junshan Silver Needle
Silver Needle is grown in Junshan, an island in Lake Dongting of Hunan Province. Climate there is mild with sufficient rainfall. The geographic feature of the lake area generates a misty environment that is good for growth of tea. Sprouts are strong, shiny and hairy. Drink is orange-yellow and fresh. When it is prepared in glass, the sprouts would vertically sink to the bottom of glass and rise up again a few times before they are fully soaked up in water. A phenomenon that is most mentioned by tea drinkers.
