Junshan
Silver Needle |
Silver
Needle is grown in Junshan, an island in Lake Dongting of Hunan Province.
Climate there is mild with sufficient rainfall. The geographic feature
of the lake area generates a misty environment that is good for growth
of tea. Sprouts are strong, shiny and hairy. Drink is orange-yellow and
fresh. When it is prepared in glass, the sprouts would vertically sink
to the bottom of glass and rise up again a few times before they are fully
soaked up in water. A phenomenon that is most mentioned by tea drinkers.
