Ti Guan Yin grows in mountainous region with an altitude of 1,000m, where misty fog lingers around the mountains and sufficient rains fall throughout the year. "Crown Grade Ti Guan Yin" is grown at Anqi in Angi of Fujian Province, a region with every favourable factor for growing Oolong Tea. Farmers are busy around May each year, young leaves are then picked, half-fermented, fired in low heated charcoal kiln.
Leaves are husky green with red border and come in whole pieces with pale green short stalks. A feature got after a precise control of fermentation. Drink is clear and golden brown in colour, taste is refreshing with long lasting after taste. The specialty of taste and fragrance like orchids is most mentioned as "Harmony of Guan Yin".
