FMT & Yixing Master Apprentice Shen Jufang’s Handmade Purple Clay Teapot Collection - Complete Prosperity

 

Yixing purple clay pottery is recognized as a Chinese intangible cultural heritage. As an outstanding traditional art of China, it features a rich and elegant language of form, a unique artistic style, and a captivating artistic charm, standing out at the pinnacle of ceramic art. Fook Ming Tong collaborated with Yixing craft artist Yang Xiufen and assistant craft artist Shen Jufang to create four types of purple clay teapots. The bottoms of the pots and the undersides of the lids are stamped with the seals of renowned masters and Fook Ming Tong, making them particularly valuable for collectors.

This time, once again using Fook Ming Tong's Ruyi trademark as the theme, the design features interconnected Ruyi motifs. These are not only engraved on the lid's handle but also intricately carved throughout the entire circular surface of the pot, symbolizing completeness and good fortune. The shape of the teapot is based on the classic copper teapot design.
