"Joy on the Brow": In ancient times, the magpie was considered a symbol of happiness. As noted in "Kaiyuan Tiangbao Yishi": "When people heard the sound of magpies, they regarded it as an omen of joy, hence the saying that magpies bring good news." The plum blossom, favored by the ancients, has a homophonic connection to the character for "brow" (眉). The depiction of a magpie perched on a plum branch thus forms an auspicious pattern known as "Joy on the Brow (Plum) Tip," symbolizing happiness and good fortune.
