The raw material is sourced from Guafengzhai, Yiwu, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. Guafengzhai is named for its location in a river valley pass where winds blow throughout the four seasons. The tea gardens are situated at an elevation of over 1,600 meters.

The tea is produced using traditional Pu'er processing techniques. Fresh leaves of the Yunnan broad-leaf variety (Dayezhong) are made into sun-dried green tea (Maocha), then undergo wet-piling fermentation (Wodui). Under the combined action of microorganisms and extracellular enzymes, the chemical components within the leaves are transformed. The fermented tea is then compressed into cakes. It belongs to the category of post-fermented tea.

The cake surface is smooth and even, with moderate compression, slightly visible buds, and a reddish-brown color. The tea presents a pure and authentic aged aroma. On the palate, it is thick, mellow, and rewarding, with a pleasant sweetness that lingers in the throat — offering a long, enduring finish. This is a classic example of ripe Pu'er tea.
