There are two main theories regarding the origin of the name "Ya Shi Xiang" (Duck Shit Aroma).

One account holds that the tea farmer who discovered the mother tree deliberately gave it an unappealing name to protect it from being stolen. The villagers all praised the tea's exceptional fragrance, and fearing that others might take cuttings to propagate it, the farmer claimed it was called "Duck Shit Aroma" to deter their interest.

The other theory suggests that the mother tree grew on what the locals called "duck shit soil" — actually a yellow loam. Because the soil's color and texture resembled duck droppings, and the shape of the tea leaves was similar to those of the duck-foot tree (a local plant), the name gradually spread and stuck.

Its dry leaves are Plump, tightly bound, slightly curved, well-proportioned, and even in size, with a reddish-brown color. The liquor is bright light orange-yellow, with a rich fruity aroma complemented by subtle floral notes. The taste is rich and mellow, with a distinctive "mountain-flavored.

Dancong

The tea tree selected by Shancong is tall and straight, and each branch and leaf is thick and powerful. The picked green leaves are shiny green and slightly round in shape.

The color of the brewed soup is a little olive green and bottomless. The evaporated spices are rich and varied, starting with a rich spice note, and then releasing a deep pine wood aroma and a slightly bitter fruity aroma.

When entering the mouth, Dancong shows a unique thick taste, like a thick leaf full of water, easily covering the entire mouth. At the same time, a slightly astringent taste comes to the tip of the tongue, bringing a full and full feeling.

It is quite sweet after drinking, but it is not as lingering as other kinds, but ends with a slight bitterness and fruity aroma in the mouth. Generally speaking, Dancong's selling point is its thickness and fullness, and the aftertaste after drinking is full of hidden meanings, which attracts people to try again and again.
